Problem Statement
The lack of a centralised platform made it difficult to access and compare diverse materials based on specific attributes like category, properties, sustainability, and cost.
Requesting samples and quotes was problematic due to the absence of a standardized process.
Material suppliers struggled to showcase their offerings comprehensively without a unified platform for data sheets.

Strategy and Approach
We aimed to create an efficient and user-friendly marketplace that addressed the limitations faced by brand customers and material suppliers when searching for sustainable materials.
Our main goal was to develop an intuitive proof of concept for Materri, catering to both brand customers and material suppliers.
We developed use cases which informed the backlog and prioritization of features, and developed collateral based on what would bring the user the most value.
We aimed to facilitate seamless material discovery, evaluation, and communication within a comprehensive marketplace environment.
Outcome
By guiding the design team through the process of research and Discovery, UX Design and ultimately, UI and Interaction Design, we were able to deliver UX/UI collateral such as Information Architecture, User Flows, Mid-Fi Wireframes and finally, Hi-Fidelity Design Mock-Ups.
